The One Business Asset that Will Matter in 2030
Will you trust what you read online in 2030, when AI-generated content is everywhere and faceless brands start to blur together?
As AI floods our feeds with endless “content,” people are already tuning out. The next five years will be a crisis for anyone "letting their work speak for itself".
I see founders clinging to clever taglines and generic content, hoping it’ll “work itself out” because showing up online is cringe. But the window to build real trust is closing fast. IMO, we have 12 months max to get a foothold. By 2030, the most valuable business asset won’t be your tech, team, or product; it’ll be your personal brand.
Here’s what I've done so far to build a founder-led brand, with highly technical products, that cuts through the noise:
Face Forward. People trust people. No hiding behind a logo.
Tell the unpolished story. Sharing the setbacks and the pivots, not just the wins.
Teach what you know. Share your frameworks, lessons, and best practices. Some for free, some with a price tag. Digital products aren't just for internet weirdos anymore.
Repeat. Consistency beats cleverness. Authority is built in public, over time. (I'm terrible at this one, but I promise there's a tipping point where it becomes easier to post something every day than to skip it.)
If you want your company to be the signal and not more noise, start investing in the asset that matters: you. Please. We need more smart, good-hearted game changers in the spotlight.
